Turner Withdraws from Mopar 500

It is with heavy hearts that Turner Motorsports and the Blue Streak Racing Team announce their withdrawal from the Mopar Parts 500. Alan & Jill Turner's son James underwent serious emergency surgery in the past 48 hours.

It is with heavy hearts that Turner Motorsports and the Blue Streak Racing Team announce their withdrawal from the Mopar Parts 500. Alan & Jill Turner's son James underwent serious emergency surgery in the past 48 hours. The entire family is at his side and though the prognosis is hopeful, the road to recovery could be a long and arduous one. James is a very brave young man and his courage and determination to meet this challenge is a source of inspiration to us all. Alan and Jill thank all of you for your prayers and best wishes. Blue Streak Racing and Turner Motorsports intend to continue the 2000 season and as these arrangements become clear they will be provided in a future release.
