TORONTO, ON Once again, the CASCAR SUPER SERIES will air in Canada on Rogers SPORTSNET for 2003. CASCAR's television production team of Jim and Joel Robinson (James Robinson Associates Ltd.) have secured SPORTSNET as a broadcast partner for the 12 race national series. SPORTSNET will also carry the season ending YEAR-IN-REVIEW program.

"Rogers SPORTSNET is thrilled about our continued association with CASCAR," said SPORTSNET's VP of Programming, David Akande. "It is our expectation based on the increased audience performance for not only, NASCAR, but also the CASCAR racing series that Canadian viewers will continue to support the development of homegrown stock car racing."

Since 1998, CASCAR has been part of the SPORTSNET broadcast schedule. For 2003, SPORTSNET will air over 50 hours of CASCAR racing. The television programs will be tape-delayed. New for this year, viewers will notice that four Super Series races will be increased to 90 minutes in duration. The other eight races will continue to be 60 minutes in length. Each race is broadcast a minimum of three times on SPORTSNET.

The on-air broadcast team will consist of longtime CASCAR announcer Ron St. Clair, who will handle the play-by-play duties. Joining Ron in the booth will be veteran racer, Billy Rowse Jr., who is no stranger to the TV cameras. Todd Lewis will once again be handling pit-road duties. Cathy Dudzic of London, Ontario will 'pinch hit' for Lewis while he is in Montreal for both the F1 and CART races.

SPEED Channel, America's fastest growing sports cable network, will once again be carrying the CASCAR SUPER SERIES. The 2003 season will begin its run in the fall with primetime East and West timeslots. SPEED Channel has 67 million subscribers throughout North America. In 2002, CASCAR racing attracted 6.5 million viewers on SPEED Channel.

James Robinson Associates Ltd. would like to thank all of CASCAR's supporters, especially MOPAR, CASTROL, NTN BEARINGS, CARQUEST, Home Hardware, Choko/Fast Eddie Racewear, Inside Track Motorsport News and the UFCW for their efforts on the television broadcasts.
