Simone Announces Plans for 2009 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series; Simone Adds New Sponsor & Car Chief for 2009

Bradford, ON, (Monday April 13, 2009): With a little less than two months to go until the drop of the green flag on the first event of the 2009 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, Simone Autosport is hard at work signing sponsors and a new car chief. Additionally Simone Autosport is pleased to announce that they will compete in all thirteen events across Canada in '09.

Simone Autosport and Crown Modular are pleased to welcome Vic DiBiasio and his four United Lumber building centres in Central Ontario and their roof truss manufacturing facility, United Truss in Innisfil, ON as a new sponsor of the No. 95 team in 2009. "We have developed a business relationship with United Lumber and now we are bringing them to the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in 2009," stated team owner and President of Crown Modular, Peter Simone. "This series is tough to compete in without top notch corporate sponsorship. We are pleased to welcome United Lumber, Vic DiBiasio and all their employees to our team."

"We have built a business relationship with Peter and Anthony Simone over the past few months and we decided to step it up and support the No. 95 Simone Autosport, NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Team in 2009" stated Vic DiBiasio, Owner. "We look forward to bringing some of our customers out to events and cheering on Anthony."

Giulio Montanari joined Simone Autosport in February and has taken over the Car Chief duties on the No. 95 Crown Modular Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Driver Anthony Simone and his entire team are thrilled to have Giulio putting his expertise behind the No. 95 entry for 2009. Giulio has a long racing resume that includes a stint in North Carolina working for several NASCAR teams before returning to Canada to team up with Whitlock Motorsports as a crew chief for the Championship winning teams of Dave Whitlock & Mark Dilley. Most recently Giulio led the No. 3 Snap-On Tools team of Jason Hathaway to their first victory at the final NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event in 2008 at Kawartha Speedway. Montanari has taken over preparation of the race cars at the shop and will do all pre and post race maintenance freeing up Crew Chief Thatcher Krupp to concentrate on the overall racing operation.

"We are really thrilled to add Giulio Montanari to our race team for 2009", stated driver Anthony Simone. "He is already making improvements in the race shop and on our fleet of Crown Modular/United Lumber Chevrolet Monte Carlo's. There is no doubt Giulio's vast experience with car preparation and set ups will help us get to the front in '09."

Simone Autosport would also like to announce the return in 2009 of equipment and product sponsors Bell, Sign-A-Rama of Newmarket, Grisdale Racing Products and Avery Graphics.

Anthony Simone, a former open wheel racing star is the driver of the No. 95 Crown Modular/United Lumber Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Simone has moved into the stock car ranks after several years racing open wheel cars. He graduated from local stock car racing at tracks such as Flamboro in 2008, when he entered the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Simone finished second in the tough Rookie of the Year battle and led 39 laps in 2008.
