(Bowmanville, Ontario) After recently completing a 10 day promotional tour across Ontario, rookie driver Marc Miller (Carhartt/UA/Castrol/Black and MacDonald/DeWalt) will head to Mosport International Raceway for round 3 of the 2003 CASCAR Super Series.
The 10 day promotional tour saw Miller and his Carhartt Racing # 8 stop at several Mark's Work Warehouse locations across Southern Ontario. The appearances of the Carhartt Racecar provided customers with an up close look at a true CASCAR stock car. "The opportunity to put the Carhartt car on display at these locations provides excitement for the customers while promoting the brand for the leading work apparel company in North America," stated Miller. "It has been a great experience for Mark's Work Warehouse, the Carhartt clothing line and myself, as we have all received great reviews and comments." Miller also took time out of his busy schedule for several autograph sessions and to sign people up for a Mark's Work Warehouse promotion awarding entrants the chance to win 3 day passes to the Toronto Molson Indy event as special guests of the Carhartt Racing team. DeWalt tools, an associate sponsor of the team, have awarding daily prizes during the promotion including a chance to win a new DeWalt cordless drill.
Marc Miller, a CASCAR rookie, will be competing in his first ever Super Series race this weekend at Mosport International Raceway. Miller may be a rookie in the series but he is not when it comes to the famous 2.5 mile, 10-turn road course that saw him capture Rookie of the Year honors and runner-up in the F1200 championship back in 1998. "I have plenty of experience on this track and hope to use that to my advantage," explained Miller "I know that I am a rookie but would like to make a name for myself this year."
Marc will hit the track on Saturday June 12 at 10:30am for the first practice session of the weekend and he will look to put his Carhartt race car on the pole in one of the two qualifying sessions before Sunday's 2:00pm main event. Keep track of qualifying and race results at www.cascar.com
