CANADIAN DETAILING SERVICES FORD STARTS POLE AND WINS CASCAR GO RACING.CA 100

MONTREAL, QC (August 26, 2006) -- It was a close, tight duel, but Kerry Micks, driving the Canadian Detailing Services Ford, won the Go Racing.ca 100 Saturday afternoon on the 13-turn, 4.359 km Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve road course in downtown Montreal.

"This was one of the best and most exciting races I've ever run in," said the 45-year old Micks after the race. "Robin (Buck) and I ran nose to tail the whole race. I'm thrilled. This win moved us into second past Donnie (Thomson) in the points and we are only 11 points out of first place going into Cayuga Speedway next weekend."

Micks, from Mt. Albert, ON, is a veteran CASCAR Super Series stock car competitor. He qualified on the pole and dominated the event, leading 17 circuits of the 23-lap race. With this victory, Micks became the first two-time CASCAR Super Series winner of the 2006 season.

Kerry Micks won the event by less than two-tenths of a second over Robin Buck who finished second, Scott Steckly finished in third and Jim Lapcevich was fourth.
