KOMOKA, ON - CASCAR, the leading motorsports sanctioning body in Canada, announced today that it has come to an agreement with Inside Track Communications to make Inside Track Motorsport News the "Official Motorsports Publication of CASCAR". Inside Track Motorsport News is a bi-monthly motorsports publication, based in Toronto, Ontario. With a Canadian focus, the magazine was launched in 1997 and quickly established itself as the publication of record for the Canadian racing community. "We are pleased to enter into this arrangement with Inside Track," said CASCAR President Bill Darmon. "During this period of growth for CASCAR and the Castrol Super Series, we're eager to recognize and strengthen the relationships that will assist us in helping CASCAR to realize its full potential. In our eyes, Inside Track distinguished itself with its coverage and support of CASCAR and we are eager to expand our relationship with them. Our new partnership with Inside Track is recognition that we share a common vision of the potential of CASCAR and Canadian motorsports." As part of the agreement, Inside Track will participate in the official sponsor Super Series decal program and will support a reader chosen, year-end Super Series award. "To become the 'Official Motorsports Publication of CASCAR' is a great honour," said Greg MacPherson, one of Inside Track's editors. "We recently hired a company to conduct a scientific survey of our readers and it reconfirmed what we knew from 'Day One'... that the CASCAR Castrol Super Series is the most important racing series in Canada. On top of that, it's a property that our advertisers value highly. Inside Track is unique in that it puts Canadian racing - and Canadian series like CASCAR - first. "Right from the first issue when former CASCAR champion Dave Whitlock appeared on the cover, we've recognized that CASCAR warrants a prominent position within Inside Track. We believe our long-standing commitment to being first and best with CASCAR news was the key." The magazine's parent company, Inside Track Communications (ITC), is also expanding its overall relationship with CASCAR. For the past three years, ITC has produced and distributed press releases on the CASCAR Castrol Super Series. Starting this year, ITC will also produce an Official Media Guide, posters and other printed materials.
