Stratford, Ontario-area native Scott Steckly and the 22 Racing/AW Millwrights/Erb Transport Pontiac team are pleased to add FAG Automotive to their distinguished list of associate sponsors for 2000.

"We are happy that FAG Automotive have chosen 22 Racing in which to make its entry into CASCAR's elite racing series," said an excited Steckly. Coming off 1999 as the Eastern Rookie of the Year, Steckly and his team have set their sights on a top ten in the Eastern Point Standings and the first of what they hope will be many podium finishes.

A decision has not been reached yet on competing for the National Championship. Steckly says, "It depends on funding and how well we do in the Eastern events prior to the trip to Alberta. If we can put all the pieces together we will definitely be there."

The CASCAR Eastern Super Series kicks off with the first event -- the Mopar 250 at Delaware Speedway Park in London, Ontario, on May 20-21.

In the meantime, FAG Automotive officials are excited about their first foray into championship racing.

"We're really looking forward to our sponsorship during the 2000 CASCAR racing season," says FAG Automotive Marketing Manager Rick Neilson. "FAG has been in Stratford since 1954, so we were especially interested in sponsoring a locally-based team. In addition, FAG Automotive bearings are used by the Big Three in many of the passenger cars and light trucks racing fans drive, so it was a natural for us to team up with the racing association and lend our support for this sport."
