Monday June 5, 2000: Newmarket's Derrick Tiemersma in the #67 Pontiac ended the day Sunday with a strong tenth place finishing position. The Ford Quality Care 250 at Cayuga was the second event on the CASCAR Castrol Super Series 2000 tour.

Tiemersma started the day with time trials and set 17th fast time out of the forty-six competitors who attempted to qualify. The #67 Pontiac then went out to finish second in the heat race ultimately lining them up seventeenth on the starting grid for the Ford Quality Care 250 later in the day.

Tiemersma ran consistently in the top 15 all day and was posted as high as third during the mid point of the event. The #67 team then pitted for tires and fuel making up several positions during the quick service on the Tiemersma Pontiac. Again they worked their way up through the field of cars and come home with a tenth place finish.

The Tiemersma Motorsports #67 Pontiac will not likely be attending the next event on the schedule at Autodrome St. Eustache in Montreal, PQ due to lack of funding but will return to Mosport for the Exide 99 on June 17.
