Disappointing start for Fastline Motorsports at Cayuga

NELLES CORNERS, ONTARIO (May 25, 2008) -- It was a disappointing night for the Fastline Motorsports team and driver Jim Lapcevich in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series at Cayuga Motor Speedway in Nelles Corners, Ontario.

The team was plagued with tire problems early in the race and string of bad luck made for a long discouraging race for the team in the Crown Jewel 200 at Cayuga Motor Speedway.

Scott Steckly won the event followed by Kerry Micks in second and Ron Beauchamp, Jr. third in the race that had four lead changes between four drivers and ten cautions for 54 laps.

Jim's teammate, brother Jeff Lapcevich did not compete in Cayuga.

The next NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event of the season, The Kodak 250 will take place Saturday, May 31 at Autodrome St. Eustache in Saint-Eustache, Quebec.
