KOMOKA, ON - CASCAR is pleased to announce its tentative race schedule for the 2003 Super Series championship battle. While most of the dates on the schedule have been confirmed, there are still a number of events that remain under negotiation.
"We have worked diligently at preparing the 2003 Super Series schedule over the past 8 weeks" remarked Tony Novotny, CASCAR president. "The majority of our events have now been confirmed, but some events remain under negotiation as we work our way through the promotional elements of the events, and evaluate where we can deliver the most value to our corporate sponsors". Novotny has indicated that all races on oval tracks on the 2003 Super Series schedule will be a minimum of 200 laps.
Richard Coughlin, CASCAR director of sales and marketing, has stated plans to implement a strengthened promotional team to improve on the success of all the events.
"We are pleased to work with the group at Sharpe Management in the promotion of both of the 2003 Delaware Speedway events, and both of the Cayuga Speedway events" said Coughlin. "We look forward to working closely with Jason [Sharpe] and his team on these events, and I know they will be a great addition to the team we have assembled within CASCAR to work on the promotion of the CASCAR Super Series, and to bring new corporate involvement to our series".
Coughlin stated that he expected CASCAR will complete the negotiations with the events that are not confirmed over the next four weeks, at which time the confirmed schedule will be announced.
