DE PUNIET HIT VALENCIA FOR THE LAST RACE OF THE SEASON

Cool temperature and poor rain have welcomed the premier class riders today at the Ricardo Tormo circuit - ahead of the Gran Premio Parts Europe de la Comunitat Valenciana weekend. After seventeen races the Spanish race track hosts the ultimate round of the 2008 season which saw Rossi crowned as MotoGP World Champion for the 8th time. Riding the Michelin-shod Honda RC212V, Randy de Puniet experienced the podium here in 250cc class and aims to get a good result at the 4.005 Km track despite the injury of his right wrist. The Frechman met the two-wheels fans today to support Riders for Health Charity Association.

De Puniet: "My right wrist gave me a bit of trouble towards the end of the race at Sepang and I hope it will be strong enough for me to keep riding as hard as I can here in Valencia. The track makes physical demands and I want to be in the best shape I can to give the team something to be really happy about now that the season is about to end. I've had success here with a 250, so let's hope we can repeat that on Sunday. We will try to get a good overall package for the race because the weaher forecast are pretty bad for the week end".
