Casey Stoner's private test at Qatar will now take place after the opening round of the MotoGP season, after a misinterpretation of the rules caused it to be rescheduled.
Ducati had originally booked the track for the two-time champion to try out the new Desmosedici GP on the two days after the third and final official pre-season test in Losail, which concluded on Friday.
However, this fell foul of rules saying no MotoGP venue may be used to test in the two weeks prior to an 'event' there - with Qatar hosting the first race of the season on March 20, and the event being deemed to start therefore on March 17.
Instead, Ducati has confirmed that Stoner will now have his Qatar test in the two days immediately following the season-opener, March 21-22.
It will be Stoner's second test since rejoining Ducati at the start of the year, having tried out the 2015-spec GP15 bike at Sepang, both during a private shakedown and during the first official pre-season test.
