Stefano Bianco is ready for the African start.

Welkom - South Africa, 18th April 2002. Stefano Bianco is ready to face his second Grand Prix of his first Moto GP season. After the Japanese race, in which he performed very well, the Italian rider is preparing himself to run in Welkom's circuit.

"I'm really looking forward to doing well during both free practice and qualifying sessions. I really want to make up for my fall down in Suzuka" declares the ever youngest rider in the Moto Gp history "Everyone congratulated me on my performance in the Japanese race but, you know, for any rider or driver, any race is not a race if you don't finish it. I will learn from that experience, I will try to be as rational as possible avoiding the irrational will to go faster than my capabilities. This doesn't mean I won't do my best both on qualifying and on race sessions! As far as my confidence with the track is concerned, I may admit that I know Welkom's circuit thanks only to my PC video-games, my loyal means of training when I don't know the circuits. During these days I trained myself jogging on the track and it was useful to see where the brake points are. This afternoon I will do my first African laps by my scooter and this will help me somehow getting confidence with the corners".
