ELIAS AND GUINTOLI READY FOR THE SECOND GRAND PRIX OF SAN MARINO
After the excellent performance of Toni Elias, Alice Team rider, in the Czech Grand Prix where he conquered the second position behind the seven times world Champions Valentino Rossi, Alice Team is preparing for the second Grand Prix of San Marino. The two white and red riders, Toni Elias and Sylvain Guintoli, have positioned respectively in seventh and twelfth position last year and will try their best to improve on one of the newest circuit in the MotoGP calendar. The Misano Adriatico circuit, after the last modification done last year, is now 4226 meters long and is ridden clockwise, with nine right turns and five on the left.
Alice Team Technical Director, Fabiano Sterlacchini, is happy to be back on track after conquering the podium in Brno thanks to Toni Elias: "The Team spirit is really good now after the great performance done by our Spanish rider. We really needed it. Also in Sunday's test we have registered really interesting timing always in the top five. And not only with Toni, but also Sylvain has been really fast and we believe he can conquered a good results as well this weekend. He has been really unlucky in Brno, but he has all needed to have a good race here."
Toni Elias is ready as never for this world championship round: "Now the bad period has passed and we can be trustful for this final part of the season. Misano is a really fun track where last year I conquered the seventh position. Not bad as a result but now, thanks to the feeling found with his Ducati Desmosedici GP8 Sat, I am sure we can fight for better positions. Physically I am really good also thanks to the time spent with my family during the summer break. The top ten in the championship is not so far and I hope to conquer it as soon as possible."
His teammate, Sylvain Guintoli, hasn't be so lucky in the last couple of race and he is looking for revenge in the Grand Prix of San Marino: "Surely luck hasn't be on my side in the last two grand Prix. We have often encountered small technical problems that have slowed down our job. I hope that things can change because I feel really well on the bike and I know we could have obtained better results in the last races. This weekend it will be really important for me and I believe to be able to be with the fastest since the first free practices."
