With only the Camel Yamaha Team present, today finished the three-day test in Losail International Circuit of Doha, Qatar with current World Champion Valentino Rossi setting 1m56.78 setting the best time.
Rossi and teammate Colin Edwards ran alone on the circuit as teams Suzuki, Tech 3 Yamaha, Kawasaki and Ducati finished their activity yesterday after they started on Sunday.
The Camel Yamaha Team were focused with Michelin to test their new tyre program as they look forward to the Jerez opening round on March 26th of the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix (MotoGP).
"Today was not quite as good as the last two days, mainly because the condition of the track was slightly worse and we didn't have such good grip. I think that last night there was a lot of wind and with only two bikes on the track today it wasn't enough to clean the surface properly", Rossi stated.
About the work it the Doha track, the Italian commented: "We did our long run and found out some more information about the new M1 in different conditions. We have some vibrations and our top priority now is to find a way to fix this; I hope we can do that in Sepang".
"In general this has been a good test and we have made some more improvements. The times have been quite good and we've done some important work with Michelin", added the Italian.
American rider Edwards showed his satisfication with the development of the M1 and the job by the team: "I am especially pleased with the setting of the bike, which we seem to be improving all the time. Both Yamaha and Michelin have worked really hard over the winter and, together with the new tyres, we've got a really good package", Colin commented.
The activity for the teams of MotoGP will continue on February 14th, 15th and 16th in Malaysian circuit of Sepang as they end the winter tests.
