Pramac's Guidotti: "Back from Qatar with a definetely good evaluation..."

The euphoria for the terrific debut in the 2015 MotoGp season is still visible.

Pramac Racing Team acted as one of the protagonists over the last week end that was rich in emotions on the Losail circuit in Qatar and just a few hours before leaving to Austin where on Sunday 12th the second race of the 2015 GP will take place, there is another chance to stand out as the Team Manager Francesco Guidotti confirms.

The first memory is well represented by the three Italian flags waving on the background of the podium in Losail...

“Seeing 3 Italian guys in the first 3 positions - Guidotti states – is always great. It is not the first time that we see something like that happen, to be honest it was something usual some years ago. So it feels great to see it happen again. Especially when on the podium you can see two Ducati riders. That’s a big satisfaction because it means that Gigi Dall’Igna’s project is already extremely competitive. Probably we will benefit from it as well but we shouldn’t think about it now. We have to stick to our schedule and let the Ducati engineers work since they are doing a great job; they have managed to make the new GP15 efficient in a record time.”

Even the impact of Pramac Racing on the 2015 MotoGP season was exciting...

“The evaluation is surely positive, during the qualifying we went beyond any expectation by reaching the second row with Yonny and that made us celebrate. In the Q2 he started well even though he had a small problem under breaking at the first corner but we have to say that he was alone and had no reference points. Probably he could have done better but it’s ok. The race went more or less like we expected it to go. Unfortunaltely we lost two positions over the last three laps. But this should be an incentive to do better next time. We are not far from the first spots and the race went very well”.

Guidotti also added “We have to work on the right adjustaments with the GP14 becouse Yonny doesn’t know it perfectly yet. When he get back to the pit box afetr a test run he is not able to provide perfect information and this doesn’t help us with the set up. The tire wear during the race is due to this aspect besides the fact that Yonny pushed hard during the first laps in order to stay ahead. “

From the great result of Yonny Hernandez to the satisfying debute of Danilo Petrucci...

“Danilo always tends to be unsatisfied – Guidotti underlines – but he should remember this week end with a big smile. During the free practises he didn’t shine, that’s true, but still he didn’t do bad. Probably he missed something in the end due to a tire which was not that ok. But when he raced alone during the Q1 he had excellent times. Big riders were behind him that moment and this should make him very proud."

"Then the Grand Prix: that was the first time he raced with the GP14 and finishing it was important because only by going through the whole race, by facing all the problems he could have had lap after lap would have been good for him in order to gain experience and extra information. The 12th position at the end of the competition is ok also because that means he is close to the Top10. A great experience that will make us all improve. From Austin on everyone will see interesting and good things."
