After an astonishing race for Alex Barros, and a good one for Hofmann that achieve the 9th position, the Team Pramac d'Antin, spend one day enough in Turkey to do the optional test. The today's happened tests, was especially to try different kind of tires, to have complete picture of the situation for the next European races.
Alex Barros who finished a lot of laps, focused his self on the front and rear with both qualifying and race tires obtaining very prominent results for his championship.
Instead, Alex Hofmann wasn't able to make the most this day, because of some substantial ache rib after his yesterday's fall during the warm- up. The rider can't be folded on this bike to make laps in good way.
Alex Barros (1'53.200 qualifying tires, 1'53.300 race tires -- 69 laps): "I'm very happy for this day, it couldn't be better than this! We made a lot of laps using new kind of tires that give us very positive results; riding my DUCATI GP7, I was able to lower my race pace round about one second. This test's result was really important for us, we had a confirm about our competitiveness one time more.
I'm more confident and motivated to go on, all seems to be in the right direction, if we continued to well work, I'm sure about good results as the fourth position yesterday achieve."
Alex Hofmann (1'54.240 race tires -- 32 laps): "Unfortunately I'm wasn't able to have the maximum from this Turkish tests. The ache I had was quite strong and I can stay on saddle in the right way. I go do on track for the only reason to try important things for my next European races at Le Mans. Today the track had good conditions and made me confident with a kind of Bridgestone race's tires, in fact I succeded to improve my time obtained with qualifying tires; today my race pace was 1'54 low. As regarding the general set-up, we don't made something different, only few different adjustment for each kind of tires. In spite of I spend few time on track, we obtained equally some important information, now I hope to return in good heath as soon as possible for the next race in China".
