Pramac becomes first MotoGP team to reveal 2026 livery

Yamaha’s satellite partner Pramac has showcased its 2026 MotoGP bike for the first time ahead of the start of pre-season testing later this month.

The Italian team revealed a revised version of the blue-and-purple livery it adopted in 2025, when it switched to Yamaha and signed a sponsorship deal with Renault Group brand Alpine.

Both new star signing Toprak Razgatlioglu and incumbent Jack Miller were present for the launch event, which took place at Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena on Tuesday and was streamed online.

It was also confirmed that three-time World Superbike Champion Razgatlioglu will carry #7 on his MotoGP debut, with his preferred number plate (54) already taken by Gresini’s Fermin Aldeguer

Being a rookie, the Turkish rider will be eligible to take part in the shakedown test at the Sepang International Circuit on 29-31 January, where he will be joined by Yamaha’s test rider Augusto Fernandez.

Miller, who beat Miguel Oliveira to the second Pramac seat, will have to wait until the first full-fledged test, also at Sepang, on 3-5 February to sample the 2026-spec M1.

The 2026 season represents a major turning point for Pramac, with its manufacturer partner Yamaha introducing a new V4-powered version of the M1 after abandoning its long-running inline-four concept.

While Pramac enjoyed significant success under Ducati’s fold, winning the teams’ title in 2023 and powering Jorge Martin to the riders’ championship the following year, its first season as Yamaha’s satellite outfit proved underwhelming.

With Oliveira and Miller as its two rider pairing, the team ended up firmly at the bottom of the standings on 125 points, 40 fewer than its closest rival, LCR Honda. For comparison, Yamaha’s factory team ended the season sixth in the standings with 269 points, but the majority of which were scored by 2021 champion Fabio Quartararo.

Although Pramac and Yamaha held a joint launch event in 2025, the two teams are staging separate presentations this year. Yamaha will reveal its factory V4-powered M1 in Jakarta on 21 January.
