Dani Pedrosa, two more years with the Repsol Honda Team

Dani Pedrosa has signed a new contract with HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) and so continues with the Repsol Honda Team in 2008 and 2009. This new agreement for two years is the prolongation of a successful relationship between the Spanish rider, just 21, and Honda who he has raced with during his whole career in the World Motorcycling Championship.

Dani Pedrosa's long list of trophies and titles includes three World Championships with Honda, in two different categories. In 2003 he won in 125cc and in 2004 he won 250cc, repeating the feat in 2005. His brilliant first season in the top category in 2006 brought him two victories (China and Britain), 8 podium finishes and four poles, this made him Rookie of the Year.

This season he has won in Germany and has got 5 podium finishes, but there are still 4 races left this year.

The new contract signed by the two parties guarantees Repsol and Honda the chance to keep one of the most competitive factory teams around, with Dani Pedrosa forming a team with the reigning World Champion, Nicky Hayden, for the third consecutive year.
