The Repsol team after more success in Germany
The World Championship reaches the halfway mark this weekend with the German Grand Prix, a race at the circuit of the Sachsenring. The Repsol team tackles the date with the intention of extending its run of good results on the track and to fill the podium with its riders.
The current leader of the rider ranking, Casey Stoner, will be after another win this weekend and so strengthen his grip on the overall classification by getting away from his immediate challenger, Jorge Lorenzo. Meanwhile, Dani Pedrosa, will be optimistic that he can do well at a circuit where he won last year. He hopes to recover his best level on his Honda RC212V and to get back among the best in this category.
Turning to Andrea Dovizioso, he goes to Germany with the clear objective of finishing on top of the podium, somewhere he has not been so far this season. The Italian, third in the rider ranking, has performed at a very high level in the first half of the season, getting four podium finishes, and he will be out to take one step up this weekend and be in the battle for the victory.
The Sachsenring is the venue for what will be a tough battle in the Bike2 category, where Marc Márquez will be after his third consecutive victory - his fourth of the season. The Repsol rider, who knows what it is like to win at the German track, will be keeping a close eye on Stefan Bradl and hoping to close the gap on him in the overall classification.
