Tom Luthi on the podium in Assen again

Also the TT Assen was a successful Grand Prix weekend for Tom Luthi and the Interwetten Moriwaki Moto2 Team as Luthi finished the 80th TT Assen as Third, which gives his third place in the championship standings more strength. The Swiss is only two points away from the second placeholder Tomizawa. After a streaky weekend with a lot of testing on the bike, Luthi can take important championship-points with him and he builds up his confidence in himself and his bike with this constant performance. The podium place gives the Swiss power for the remaining ten races. The next race will be the Gran Premi de Catalunya next week in Montmelo near Barcelona in Spain.

Tom Luthi, 3 -- 40'05.390:
"The start of the race was not easy. I had a good start but could not switch into the gear and lost the connection a little bit because of that. Then Iannone was already building up a gap behind him. At the end I was able to fight for the podium, but the second place was impossible to reach. I am very happy with my third place though."

Terrell Thien, Team Manager:
"This was a good race. The gap to the second place in the championship got very small now, because of the points Tom achieved today. Now we have 10 races to follow and all is possible. The work of the whole team was once again fantastic."

Daniel Epp, Rider Management:
"After the podium in Silverstone Tom was also strong in Assen and was part of the leading group. He did everything very well and now only two points separate him from Tomizawa in the championship. I think we can look forward to more to come in this season."
