It's a good weekend's start at the Aragon GP for Alex De Angelis, who in the second of the two free practice sessions took the second best time with a lap of 1'56"398. With two sessions being run on this new track, his combined best time was the fourth quickest of the day. This is an encouraging result for the rider's confidence with his JiR MotoBI following the Misano GP.

"I'm happy for this result, I need to get back in the saddle and regain some trust with the bike and racing and these times give me hope. Also I really enjoyed the circuit. I've never ridden here before and for the first time it's not bad at all. There are both slow technical sections and fast ones where you need to keep the throttle opened, so we'll need to work hard on set-up. Unfortunately the rain ruined our work, but tomorrow we will make some more steps ahead for sure."

Today saw some issues for Simone Corsi, who managed to ride only five laps before the rain and had some front-end chattering problems. His best time remains the one he scored this morning: 1'57"113.

Tomorrow both riders will have the chance of improving their performances, hoping for better weather that gives the team time to find the best set-up for the race.
