LCR TEAM AND DE PUNIET COMPLETE ONLY ONE DAY OF TESTING AT BRNO

After Sunday's Czech Republic cloudy skies, the premier class riders enjoyed summer temperature yesterday for the first day of testing at Brno track. Although his crash during the 22-lap race which saw Rossi on the top of the podium, the Australian rider Casey Stoner clocked the fastest time of the day of 1'56.261.

The LCR Honda MotoGP Team rider Randy De Puniet was back on track aboard his Michelin-shod Honda RC212V after the disappointment of the 16th place achieved at the 5403 km track on Sunday. The 27-year-old made 60 laps throughout the day trying to solve the front feel problems and clocked his fastest lap time of 1'58.568. De Puniet and his crew decided to complete only one day of testing.

De Puniet: "Sunday's race has been a bad experience for me and the crew but we must continue our job to find a solution for front grip. We tested some Michelin tyres but we could not find any important improvement. So we decided to end this testing session earlier and proceed with our set up work in Misano".
