DE PUNIET ON TRACK AGAIN AT BARCELONA TEST

After yesterday's GP of Catalunya which saw Pedrosa on the top of the podium, the majority of the MotoGP teams and riders had an additional day of on-track work at the 4.727 km circuit before the next Donington GP on the 22 of June. The 800cc riders, which will be on track again tomorrow, have enjoyed good conditions with blue skies and ambient temperature of 27C.

After his yesterday's unlucky race, the LCR Honda MotoGP rider Randy De Puniet made significant improvements chasing a good set up for his Michelin-shod Honda RC212V completing 56 laps despite the little finger ache due to Mugello race crash two weeks ago. The Frenchman worked with his Team on chassis settings and tyre testing for Michelin clocking his best lap time of 1'42.775 on race trim obtaining the 8th position. Today's pacesetter Stoner produced a best lap time of 1'41.533.

De Puniet : "I am very satisfied about the set-up adjustments we made today. We fixed many pints like the rear suspension, the front-end setting to reduce the spinning and race tyre testing improving my race lap time here. I think we found good solutions for the bike overall package and tomorrow we will proceed with our set-up work ahead the next race. My finger is getting better and am sure will be ok for Donington".
