Jack Miller will miss the upcoming MotoGP test at Sepang after his training accident less than two weeks ago.
The Marc VDS rider crashed during training at a motocross track in Barcelona, sustaining fractures to both the tibia and fibula of his right leg.
Miller underwent surgery right away and began his rehabilitation, but the team said he will not be ready for the first pre-season test of the year in Malaysia.
Marc VDS stated the Australian was already training in a bid to be ready for the second test at Phillip Island test on 17 February.
"It's unfortunate that Jack is unable to test in Sepang but we are hopeful that he will have recovered sufficiently to join us at Phillip Island for the second of the three preseason tests," said team boss Michael Bartholemy.
The Sepang test kicks off on Monday.
