Carlo Fiorani, Director of HRC Europe, said in an interview to MotoGP.com that newly signed Repsol rider, Max Biaggi, will be HRC's main priority in 2005.

The two look to take back the rider's championship from rival's Valentino Rossi and Yamaha.

"HRC has to pull in one direction otherwise we will lose again so it is important that we follow one rider. It is the way Honda has always worked. The input of all the riders is important to take back to Japan and use for development with the test riders, but the benefit of that development has to be focused on one person. It was the same with Mick Doohan, the same with Valentino Rossi and it will be the same with Max Biaggi. His style is very clean, very technical, and we think he is suited to this role." commented Fiorani.

It is expected legendary crew chief, Erv Kanemoto, will be with Biaggi in the Repsol garage. When asked about this detail Fiorani only replied, "I can't say anything about Erv at this point. But the first test is this weekend and people will see our team's structure then."

While no one can argue Biaggi's style is not clean and technical, it is still very much different from that of the rest of the Honda riders. It will be interesting to see how the rest of Honda's stable adapt to Biaggi's development direction.
