AOYAMA NOT SATISFIED AFTER FIRST FREE PRACTICE

The Grand Prix of Le Mans didn't start as expected for Hiroshi Aoyama and the Interwetten Honda MotoGP Team. After the good results at the post race test in Jerez the expectations for the first free practice in Le Mans were quite high and all hopes were to continue where the team had stopped in Jerez. Unfortunately nothing of the settings of Jerez seems to suit the French track at Le Mans and the hard work starts from Zero. Nevertheless Aoyama is confident that he can improve for tomorrow, even this means a lot of work for tonight.

Hiroshi Aoyama, 16. -- 1'36.798:
It is not easy to find the right words. The first impression of the track in Le Mans was good. The weather is good for a change, the conditions are perfect, but I don't have the feeling for the bike unfortunately. I had difficulties to go fast. The feeling was so much better in Jerez and I hoped that we could continue here where we finished there, but it seems that the bike needs a complete different set up for Le Mans. We have to work on the right settings for tomorrow.

Daniel Epp, Team Manager:
This was not an easy session and I don't really know what to say to be honest. Nothing really worked out and the team has a lot of work to do for tomorrow. That's all I can say for now.
