Sachsenring July 26: All the modifications made by Roberto Rolfo, and Team Fortuna Honda, to his machine from the first to the second day of practice have been more than adequate. Basically that is why the Altadis rider could squeeze the last ounce to potential from his bike and take second position on the grid for the German GP, to be contested at the Sachsenring tomorrow.

Each day of practice has seen a step forward with evolution of the machine set up for the sinuous German circuit but the reward for a job well done has been the steady progression made by the team. The second official practice could have been even better, if the Fortuna Honda rider had not encountered so much traffic in the closing stages.

"Ii can be very satisfied with the way things have gone during practice here in Germany because all the modifications we have made have been adequate, and has made me ride with more confidence," said Roberto Rolfo after the final qualifying session.

"I needed a little more confidence with the front end and I got it, it's working perfectly now. That's why all the work we did on the chassis has been done in an evolutionary way. Same with the engine, we have found the acceleration we need, and that has helped me a lot. I have a better feeling with the bike, and have squeezed all the potential from the bike." Added the Fortuna Honda rider.

Rolfo lamented the fact that he came across a lot of traffic in the final minutes of qualifying. "It's a pity I could not cut a few tenths of a second from my best lap time, because I think I could have turned a 1m 25.5s lap. But anyway, I'm very satisfied and I think that tomorrow we can aspire to almost anything here at the German GP.
