Rolfo returns to the form he displayed at Brno test -- among the fastest
Brno, Czech Republic, July 15: Roberto Rolfo, the brilliant German 250 GP victor - the last race before the short summer break, returns to racing with his batteries recharged. Rolfo began practice for the Czech Republic GP where he left off at the recent Brno test session -- among the fastest men. Rolfo's performance on the first day of practice is a clear indication of what the Fortuna Honda team achieved during the test session.
From the beginning of practice Rolfo felt the constant progression made by the team and put in a series of fast lap times which eventually delivered him second place on the provisional grid for Sunday's race. This was the optimum result possible today on the long fast Brno circuit, a performance Rolfo is confident of improving tomorrow.
"We started practice with good expectations for this weekend after the short summer holiday. From the first few laps this morning I felt comfortable on the bike. I ran with a very good feeling with the machine set up we found at the test." Said a manifestly happy Rolfo.
"From the first minute I felt the progress we have made with the Fortuna Honda, more than adequate, running almost the entire session comfortably fast. Anyway we have to be cautious and follow the evolutionary course we have taken, without forgetting the one thing which will be very important at the Czech circuit .... the rhythm of the race." The determined Rolfo said.
"We have a few solutions to try on the second day of practice but in the same progressive way as we have been working. The race is going to be very hard and we will have to find a good rhythm in the race to consolidate the progress we made in Germany." Concluded the Fortuna Honda rider.
