Ducati launches Bagnaia and Marquez's 2025 MotoGP bike in Italy
Marquez begins life as a factory Ducati rider as he joins new team-mate Bagnaia at the 2025 launch
Ducati has showcased the bike that former world champions Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez will race in MotoGP this year.
In a special event held at the Italian ski resort Madonna di Campiglio on Monday, the Ducati GP25 was showcased to the public for the first time in its predominantly red race livery.
Ducati general manager Gigi Dall'Igna, team boss Davide Tardozzi and the Italian manufacturer's CEO Claudio Domenicali were all present for the unveiling, together with Bagnaia and Marquez.
The launch marked the start of a new chapter in the career of six-time champion Marquez, who had been associated with Honda since his debut in 2013 but had to leave the Japanese manufacturer after 2023 amid its competitive struggles in MotoGP.
He moves up to the works team on the back of a stellar first season on a year-old Desmosedici at Gresini in 2024 during which he scored three grands prix wins and finished third in the championship.

The Spaniard had already made his first public appearance as a factory Ducati rider in the Barcelona test in November, but on that occasion, he was seen in a plain, unbranded red suit.
During the official ceremony, he appeared in full Ducati gear for the first time, albeit without any personal sponsorship from long-time backer Red Bull due to a clash with the Italian manufacturer's deal with Monster Energy.
Marquez will form a 'dream team' at Ducati alongside double champion Bagnaia, who is eager to stamp his authority in MotoGP again after missing out on the 2024 title to Pramac rival Jorge Martin.
Bagnaia has built a team around him at Ducati and his intra-team rivalry with Marquez is expected to be one of the biggest plotlines of 2025.
