Famous Bologna factory unveils new rider line up at annual ski festival

Great excitement filled the air at the annual Wroom Press Ski Meeting in Italy on Monday 14th January when Ducati Corse took to the stage at the Madonna di Campiglio ski resort where the Bologna factory presented it’s two factory riders, Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso, who will campaign the 2013 MotoGP World Championship in the iconic red colors. The riders arrived in Trentino behind the wheel of an Audi dressed in special Wrooom colors.

Both riders appeared in front of the world media on Monday afternoon at the traditional weeklong festival that is now in it’s 23rd year. The festival also sees Formula One giants Ferrari present at the event to launch their own machine and driver line up. The presentation of the riders did not coincide with the unveiling of the new GP13 machine with the Italian manufacturer deciding to wait until Tuesday evening where the bike will make it’s debut in a chalet at the top of the Dolomite Mountain range.

Both Hayden and Dovizioso will speak to the press on Tuesday morning while in the afternoon the Ducati Team riders will be joined by Team Pramac with their two new riders American Ben Spies and Italian Andrea Iannone. For the first time ever the factory Desmosedici GP13 machines of the Ducati Team will be officially presented together with the Pramac bikes with the satellite team now to be supported directly by the Borgo Panigale factory for the coming season.

Wednesday 16th January will see the new General Manager of Ducati Corse Bernhard Gobmeier holding a press conferences and Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenicali will also give a presentation to the press. Thursday, it will be the turn of the Ferrari drivers, whereas Friday’s grand finale will feature a spectacular exhibition challenge, with the MotoGP riders and Formula 1 drivers facing off in karts on the town’s frozen lake.
