HOFMANN, BAD LUCK FOR THE BRAZILIAN ALEX BARROS
When red semaphore switched off, both Team Pramac d'Antin riders effected good departure, profit to get an important final result, but unfortunately at the first lap only ,both Barros and Hofmann had to slow down, because a crash on track.
Especially Barros, was an indirect victim of Toni Elias's fall ,that hampering track with his bike, forcing the Brazilian rider to leave the right way with his DUCATI GP7 and loosing a lot of time.
Also Alex Hofmann lost some positions because of Spanish 's crash but fortunately he made up, got the final 9th position.
Alex Barros - 14 : "I haven't a lot to say, practically I run my race alone. I made a good start, but immediately I find in front of my self Elias's crash that obliged me to go out from race track and my bike switched off. In that moment I lost too much time and was impossible to reach again the group, despite of tried to finish my race as well as possible because I would to get at least some few points. I'm very disliked for this week-end because my Team done perfect work, my bike was very good and I had right feeling with it. If everything could be different, I'm sure I could classified in the first positions, because my race pace was very good, but I know that during the race, this problem can happen."
Alex Hofmann - 9 : "I have a good race and for this reason I'm happy. In each week-end we improved a lot and I get more confident with my Desmosedici; I hope can will arrive very important result also for me! Today unfortunately, the race conditioned by the deep traffic that was on track at the first lap, there I loose some position and even if I try to recovered I haven't more possibility strong attack. Anyway, I want to thanks my team for yours good work."
Luis d'Antin -- General Director: "Unfortunately today we had bad luck, Elias's crash conditioned Alex Barros race that could be certainly in the first five positions, how we could see from his race pace. In spite of I'm equally satisfied for Barros performance who showed all his professionalism and for Alex Hofmann's race that able him to achieve ninth position and confirm our competitiveness for this championship. I would to thanks again Ducati and Bridgestone for the good material they give us and all our sponsor for their support."
