Stefan Bradl may miss his home MotoGP race at the Sachsenring after undergoing surgery following a crash in last weekend's Dutch TT.
The German, who rides an Open class Yamaha for the Forward Racing team, fractured his right scaphoid when he crashed out of the race early on at Assen while running in 15th place.
He underwent successful surgery on Monday in his hometown of Augsburg, and was discharged from hospital the same evening.
However, it is unknown whether Bradl will be fit enough to race in his home grand prix, which takes place on July 12, with a decision expected to be made this week after further tests.
It has been a trying season so far for the 25-year-old former Moto2 champion, who rode for the LCR Honda team last year, his best result of the 2015 campaign so far having been an eighth place at Catalunya.
