The 2025 Argentinian MotoGP will take place this weekend, and Aprilia rider Marco Bezzechi could not be happier about its return to the schedule. Bezzechi and Lorenzo Savadori, the latter standing in for an injured Jorge Martin, are looking to continue improving the RS-GP25 for the reigning champion's return.
“I am very happy to finally return to Argentina because I really like this track and I was sorely disappointed about not going last year,” Bezzecchi said.
“We did a good job in Thailand and we need to keep improving along with the team. I can’t wait to be on the track.”
After managing to recover from a horrific crash during pre-season testing in Sepang, Martin suffered another crash leading up to the season-opening Thailand MotoGP, which resulted in a fractured left wrist.
The Spanish rider recently gave an update on his recovery, stating:
“I’m here in Motoplex for the first time, also wearing the t-shirt of Aprilia racing for the first time. I’m working hard, it’s been a difficult time, but I’m trying to be back as soon as possible. We don’t know exactly when I will be back but I will try to do it soon. I hope to see you all really soon.”
Aprilia team chief Massimo Rivola also confirmed that Martin will not be taking part in Argentina.

"According to what the doctor said – and luckily he was in very good hands – everything went right and now it’s time to just wait for the recovery.
"The fracture was quite bad. Normal people would take a lot of time but superheroes [are] like riders and Jorge will cut a lot of time [off a normal recovery timeframe], but for sure we won’t put him on the bike if he’s not in very good shape.
"I don’t know [when he will be back], for sure not in Argentina, so I think in Argentina we’ll have Sava [Lorenzo Savadori] again to replace him, and then we will see. I think we will need to see every week, every day how he is recovering and then looking at his season and his career and his history with Aprilia with a long-term vision more than a short-term vision."
Savadori is keen to continue helping the team to supply Martin with the best bike possible for when he does make his return. He explained:
“We are working in the right direction and the goal for the weekend is to continue growing the RS-GP25 more and more so that we can give Jorge [Martin] the best possible bike upon his return.”
