Yuki Takahashi ready for a back-to-front race at the Sachsenring
After two days of testing at the German Sachsenring circuit, Yuki Takahashi, has secured the tenth best time, but the JiR Team Scot rider is confident they can make a good race. The group of riders in the leading positions are not far away and the race-pace of Yuki could make it possible to achieve a good result. The Japanese rider will have to push hard right from the beginning and - as is usual - he will have to make a good start. The Team will try in the warm-up to optimise the setting of the suspension to give Yuki further confidence in the bike.
Gianni Berti - Technical Coordinator, JiR Team Scot
"On the Sachsenring circuit we could have expected to be able to start in a more advantageous position to take maximum advantage of the performance of our Honda. I feel that Yuki has not yet reached maximum confidence with the front of the bike, but I think the team can still finish the race well, thanks to the continuous progress that they have shown all weekend. Yuki will give his best and I believe this could lead to a positive result."

"In these two days of tests we have continually improved things, but not enough. My time is good but I wanted to do better and I am not satisfied. For the race I will have to make a good start, and do my best to get ahead in order to not to lose contact with the leaders. We are all very close, as the lap times show, and I think we can do a good race. Yesterday, we worked very hard, because the feeling with the front-end of the bike I'm not satisfied with, and even if today it is improved, it is not perfect. If it does not rain tomorrow in the warm-up we should try to find a solution to this. In case of rain everything will change as the race may be run in wet conditions too."
Yutaka Hirano - Chief Technical JiR Team Scot
"We still have to improve the feeling Yuki has with the bike tomorrow in the warm-up. If it is dry, we will try to find the solution in the short time available. Apart from that we have done a good job, and we have chosen the tyres that we will use in the race. We are not starting from a good position on the grid, but Yuki will be immediately fast and try to get a good start."
