Yuki Takahashi will start the Grand Prix of San Marino tomorrow from the front-row, aboard his Honda RS250RW in the colours of JiR Team Scot. The young Japanese rider resides in Cattolica, just a few kilometres from the circuit of Misano, making this his other ‘home' race. After two days of practice, in which he has constantly been in the top few positions, Yuki took his first front-row start of the season and is confident that he can give his Italian supporters and his team a good final result tomorrow

Gianni Berti - Technical Coordinator, JiR Team Scot

"Yuki and the Team have worked well and deserve many compliments for these two days of tests in which they, as always, have given the maximum. We start on the first row and we must exploit this advantage by making a good start so we have a good race that could conclude an excellent weekend for us."

"I'm happy with the outcome of today, although it certainly was not easy, but the team has worked very well and tomorrow I will make a good race, just for them. This is my second ‘home' Grand Prix and as many of my mechanics live nearby, I will be going all-out to give them a great result. We developed the bike well, and I was out on track pretty much alone. It will be important to make a good start because it's not easy to overtake on this circuit and there are many riders out there with similar lap times, but I am ready for tomorrow."

Yutaka Hirano - Chief Technical JiR Team Scot

"Today we found a good setting of the bike, but we will have to make small adjustments tomorrow in the warm-up. We were able to define a satisfactory overall balance, and choose tyres to be used for the race. The engine performance is good, even for top speed."
