Aledo, IL (July 28, 2001) - For the second week in a row the Winged Three-Quarter Midget Association visited the Aledo Raceway in Aledo, IL. It marked the fourth WTQMA event at the Aledo Raceway and the first event with wings on at the track during the 2001 season.
Mike Raymond scored the win from the pole position over Robbie Ray, who previously had been the only driver to score a feature win at the Aledo Raceway this season. Raymond jumped out the lead at the start with Ray and Bill Jones following. On the fifth lap Jones got by Ray exiting turn two and set his sights on Raymond. With three laps remaining Jones made an effort to get by and touched wheels with Raymond sending Jones spinning towards the infield and bringing out the only caution of the event.
