Weld Racing Wheels rolled into victory lanes in virtually every sanction across the country, dominating high dollar and local events from coast to coast.
USAC sanctioned racing saw Weld Racing Wheels on the winners in Sprint, Midget, and Silver Crown divisions, with the richest victory being scored at Eldora Speedway by Jac Haudenschild in the MOPAR Million. Haudenschild bagged $200,000 for his victory with the Weld-equipped RaceToHawaii.com entry.
Weld Racing Wheels dominated The Indiana USAC scene as well, with Aaron Fike and Dave Steele sharing the victory podium at IRP's USAC Midget Twin 25's program. Weld-equipped drivers took 8 of the first ten finishing spots in the first 25, with seven of the first ten being Weld-equipped in the second.
Other USAC drivers utilizing Weld Racing Wheels in September wins were Dave Darland taking the Hut 100 for Midgets at Terre Haute, Bud Kaeding scoring his first USAC Silver Crown win at Tulsa, JJ Yeley taking the Route 66 event for Sprints, and Tony Hunt winning with Western States at Madera.
360 Sprint Car events also saw Weld product shine in victory lanes, led by Billy Alley's $10,000 victory at State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Missouri. Jesse Hockett took preliminary honors at Sedalia with Weld product. Other 360 winners with Weld Racing Wheels include Ricci Faria at Kings Speedway, and Roger Crockett in NST 360 action at Yakima and Cottage Grove. Tim Crawley, Gary Wright, Brian Brown, and Randy Martin were also victorious with Weld Wheels in September.
Marty Wilcox took SCOA honors with Weld at El Paso, while Charles Davis was the winner at Manzanita. Jon Stambrough, Michael Lewis, and Matt Westfall also scored with Weld.
In 410 winger sprint action, Ed Lynch Jr. and Cris Eash both won twice with Weld Wheels. Joey Saldana took the Gold Cup preliminary at Chico's World of Outlaws event, while Tim Shaffer soared at Eagle. Greg Hodnett, Jerrod Hull, and Justin Henderson all won with Weld also.
