The O'Reilly Chili Bowl Midget Nationals has long been known to provide methanol-crazed fans with a source of relief from the winter doldrums. The prestige, pageantry, and popularity of the event brings out the best of the best, and race fans from around the country flock to Tulsa, Oklahoma to get the Chili Bowl experience. The 2002 O'Reilly Chili Bowl Nationals looks to never be the same, as Rubicon Promotions & Marketing is proud to present "The Blonde Squad." In a Chili Bowl first, the all female, all blonde team looks to make a run at one of the most coveted titles in midget racing.

Rubicon Promotions driver, Anne (pronounced Annie) Coppel, is an accomplished midget driver from California.  She has competed with the Bay Cities Racing Association (BCRA) and the United States Auto Club (USAC) series. She was a contender for the 1999 BCRA "Rookie of the Year" award, and has made a name for herself as a fierce competitor. She competed in the 2001 Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, and successfully earned her Chili Bowl rookie stripes, as she gained her competitor's respect by holding her own.For the 2002 O'Reilly Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, Anne will drive for Galesburg, Illinois', RFMS Racing. She will carry the #16 on her RFMS Racing Beast/Pink Ford entry. A.J. Fike, coming off a stellar season with the USAC National Midget Series will share driving duties for the team as Anne's teammate for the event. Anne and A.J. will be joined by midget standouts Aaron Fike and Donnie Lehman, who make up the other half of the team.

"The Blonde Squad" crew is made up of four young women who have grown up in the motorsports business.  Jamie, Stephanie, Mandi, and Misha have diverse experience that ranges from competing as race drivers to working in the public relations and marketing aspects of the sport. For the Chili Bowl event, "The Blonde Squad" will take charge of the basic race team duties, with their primary focus being team and driver promotion.

"The Blonde Squad," along with RFMS Racing drivers A.J. and Aaron Fike will be showcased in the Rubicon Promotions & Marketing booth (4508 &4510) during the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show to be held November 29 - December 1, 2001, in Indianapolis, Indiana. The team will be on hand to meet and greet show attendees and sponsors, as well as make guest appearances on several radio and television shows. "The Blonde Squad" will also make scheduled appearances in the Indianapolis area over the next two months.

The O'Reilly Chili Bowl Midget National has always been on the "must-see" list for any open wheel fan. Fast cars, big stars, and plenty of fast-paced racing action are a guarantee. With the addition of "The Blonde Squad," the 2002 Chili Bowl Midget Nationals has the potential to be "the" event of the season!
