Noblitt, Pierce, Steele, & Rain all repeat winners.
Speedway, IN The two hottest MidgetCar Drivers in the business continued their impressive streaks this week in NAMARS sanctioned events. Aaron Pierce posted his fifth straight win in a row in "Thursday Night Lightning" competition at the Indianapolis Speedrome, and Dave Steele piloted Dino Tomassi's potent Mopar to yet another dominating win at Indianapolis Raceway Park during the NAMARS MidgetCar portion of Saturday's Hooters Pro Cup Kroger 250. Friday's NAMARS / ARCA Championship MidgetCar Event at Toledo Speedway will be rescheduled this fall due to rain.
Pierce continues to lead all three NAMARS MidgetCar Series Driver point chases by virtue of his Speedrome win over defending Speedrome Champ Billy Wease and Rookie Shawn Stout, as well as an impressive third place finish Saturday at IRP.
Steele took control of the field at the half-way point of Saturday's thirty lap feature Event over early leader Bobby East. East charged to the front from his fifth place starting position on lap two as Jimmy Kite lead the first lap after a breathtaking start of four-wide racing to the first corner. Steele checked out to lead the remaining fifteen laps winning by a straightaway over Richie Jacob's Mopar, Pierce's Chevy, Kite's Ford, and East's Chevy.
Jordan Noblitt won his second NAMARS Kenyon MidgetCar race of the season Thursday over Scott Thoman, rookie Bryan Clauson, Mario Marietta, and Derek Bischak. The Kenyon MidgetCars head for the dirt this weekend for the first time in 2002 at Camden Raceway on Friday and Kokomo Speedway on Sunday evening with the NAMARS Regional Midget Car Series, in addition to round eight of "Thursday Night Lightning".
