SUN PRAIRIE, WI, March 10---The Midget Auto Racing season moves into a regular rhythm this week with the running of the Copper Classic at Phoenix International Raceway, on Saturday March 16. Nine events spread over the first two months have been run.

Tony Stewart continues to lead the National Midget Driver of the Year Point Standings, over Kevin Doty. Past Driver of the Year winners Jason Leffler('99), and Tracy Hines('01), are currently ranked third and fifth in the points.

Presently 199 events are scheduled to be run, with most racing associations having already released their schedules. A complete listing of all events can be viewed at the newly redesigned National Midget Driver of the Year web site: www.nmdoty.com.

Arizona Sport Shirts, Design 500, National Speed Sport News,Infinity Travel Management, midgetmadness.com, and Sign 1-1 have been secured as associate sponsors.
