Jesse Hockett has signed a deal with Iowa-based Midget owner Troy Parsons to run his Midget in the 18th Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma January 7-10. Hockett made his Chili Bowl debut in 2003 and finished his stellar weekend with a run in the Saturday night D-main, which ended with a blown engine. Hockett will pilot a Twister Chassis outfitted with a Snyder Enterprises engine for the event. "I feel very fortunate to be with such a good team and I hope to put the car in the show come Saturday night. The team has had some good runs there in the past with Ricky Logan and Brian Brown. I think we can have a good run," said Hockett, a Warsaw, Missouri resident.

Hockett had a big season in 2003, winning 15 times and finishing in the top five spots a startling 29 times. He also capped his season by setting quick time against the All Star Circuit of Champions at Capital Speedway in July and winning the $10,000 Non-Wing World Championship event at Lakeside Speedway in August. After a few months off, Hockett is ready to go fast again. "I am excited to get back to racing. What better place to do that than one of the best races all season, the Chili Bowl. I can't wait."
