TULSA, Okla. (October 7, 2004) - As race fans with a voracious appetite for Chili Bowl action continue to gobble up four-day O'Reilly Chili Bowl tickets at a record pace, others await the Wednesday, October 13, kickoff of three-day ticket sales.
Four-day tickets for the 19th O'Reilly Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, set to take place at the Tulsa Expo Raceway on January 5-8, 2005, are still available for only $129. Three-day tickets will be available for $113 beginning on Wednesday, October 13, at 9:00 a.m. CDT.
As available, two-day tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, October 27, for $82. With a vast majority of last year's tickets purchased in three and four-day packages, the limited number of two-day tickets remaining were sold in less than half a day.
Defending Chili Bowl champion Cory Kruseman, who topped a record field of 206 entries this past January to claim his second Golden Driller, will lead other past Chili Bowl winners including Tony Stewart, Sammy Swindell, Jay Drake, Donnie Beechler, Dan Boorse, Scott Hatton and Johnny Heydenreich into the 2005 edition of the Chili Bowl.
J.J. Yeley, who provided much of the 2004 dramatics by advancing 69 positions from a Saturday "F" Main to third in the Chili Bowl "A" Feature, will return as well, along with NASCAR Nextel Cup rookie sensation Kasey Kahne and NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader.
