Ticket orders rolling in for 18th Annual Chili Bowl

TULSA, Okla. (September 17, 2003) - Four-day ticket orders have been rolling in for the 18th Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, to be held at the Tulsa Expo Center January 7-10, 2004. Since Rich Vogler topped the initial Chili Bowl in 1987, the indoor event has evolved into one of the premier dirt track events in the nation, with last year's edition attracting more than 200 entries. Tickets for all four nights of action-packed racing excitement are available for only $129.

Returning for the 2004 Chili Bowl will be 2002 race champion, defending NASCAR Winston Cup champion Tony Stewart. Also a former triple-crown winner in USAC, Stewart came away with the victory in one of the most exciting editions of the event in 2002, and will be seeking to join Sammy Swindell and Dan Boorse as the only multi-time winners of the Chili Bowl. Boorse claimed his second Chili Bowl crown with a dramatic last lap pass this past January, while Swindell has topped the indoor classic an unprecedented four times.

Four-day tickets are available at a secure on-line site at www.chilibowl.com. Ticket sales have been brisk in recent weeks as fans rush to beat the October 1 deadline to reserve the same seats they held last year. As available, three-day ticket sales will begin on November 5, two-day ticket sales on November 26 and one-day sales on December 3. Ticket orders are also accepted by calling the ticket office at 918-838-3777 during business hours, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. central time, Monday through Friday.

After getting your four-day tickets for the 2004 Chili Bowl at www.chilibowl.com, be sure to check the site on a regular basis as regular updates will be made, including updates on expected entries for the 18th edition of the Chili Bowl.
