Since Rich Vogler topped the initial Chili Bowl in 1987, the indoor event has evolved into one of the premier dirt track events in the nation, with last year's edition attracting more than 200 entries. Tickets for all four nights of action-packed racing excitement are available for only $129.
Returning for the 2004 Chili Bowl will be 2002 race champion, defending NASCAR Winston Cup champion Tony Stewart. Also a former triple-crown winner in USAC, Stewart came away with the victory in one of the most exciting editions of the event in 2002, and will be seeking to join Sammy Swindell and Dan Boorse as the only multi-time winners of the Chili Bowl. Boorse claimed his second Chili Bowl crown with a dramatic last lap pass this past January, while Swindell has topped the indoor classic an unprecedented four times.
