Hines captures Angell Park Badger Midget main.

SUN PRAIRIE, WI---Fast qualifier Tracy Hines avenged his late race mishap from last week, and won the 25-lap Badger Midget Series Feature Sunday Night at Angell Park Speedway.The event went non-stop falling four seconds short of the track record for the distance.

Dan Boorse jumped into the lead at the start, and along with Craig Carey quickly opened up an advantage over the field. Boorse enjoyed a two second lead over Craig as he began lapping the tail of the field on the tenth lap. Boorse stretched his lead in heavy lapped traffic while Hines moved into the top five. Boorse retired while leading on the 15th lap with a broken rear end.

Carey looking for his first career feature win was now in the lead, as Hines passed two cars on the 17th lap to move into second, and two laps later passed Carey entering the third turn. For the remainder of the event Hines sliced through the field with ease cruising to a 4.26 second win over Carey. Hines drove the Wilke-PAK/Stealth/Sesco-Mopar#11 entry. Current point leader Davey Ray, Mike Hess, and Brandon Waelti rounded out the top five.

Ray now holds a 103 point margain over Hess heading into the July 7th event at the track which is co-sanctioned with USAC, and also features a complete USAC Stoops Freightliner Sprint Car event. Midget practice is slated to begin at 2:30 pm.
