ARDC TO MAKE SECOND APPEARANCE AT NEW EGYPT

New Egypt, NJ, August 1, 1998...... The New Egypt Speedway is proud to announce that the ARDC Carquest midget series has been booked for a repeat performance on Saturday night August 15th. The always popular midgets will join New Egypt's regular card of Modifieds, Sportsman and Street Stocks in what should prove to be a very exciting night of racing. ARDC Treasurer Doug Starrett is thrilled about returning to New Egypt. "Midget racing has a very large fan base in the New Jersey area and ARDC is proud to be racing at such a first class facility" stated Starrett.

Due to popular demand, speedway officials recently made the decision to bring back the midgets for a second time this season. "We had many requests from the fans to see ARDC at our facility again," stated track P.R. representitive Pete Wortman, "The first show was an excellent race and we are excited to welcome them back to our speedway!"

The first show on May 16th was a real barn burner, with only two caution periods slowing the action. Former sprint car driver Tim Dietz chased down Hank Rogers Jr. in heavy lapped traffic, and then held off a fast closing Ed Stimely Jr. to post the victory on the very fast 1/3 mile `D'-shaped clay oval. These three drivers along with the likes of ARDC hotshoes Phil DiMario, Bryan Kobylarz, Randy Mausteller, Doug Borger, and Gary Mondschein will once again do battle with the rest of the ARDC Carquest midgets at the New Egypt Speedway. All the action takes place in just two weeks on Saturday August 15th. Gates will open at 2pm, with warm-ups at 4pm and the first heat at 5pm.
