ARDC: 1004 schedule announced

The Ray's Yamaha 'Polaris" Victory American Racing Drivers Club welcomes six new facilities to their tentative schedule for 2004. Also returning are midget drivers favorite venues.

The 65th season of midget racing in Central Pennsylvania kicks off on Friday night May 14, at Williams Grove Speedway. The month of May concludes with a trip to the southern track on the schedule. Midget contenders will compete at Dixieland Speedway, NC on Friday night May 21 in a dual feature format.

The American Racing Drivers Champion Midget Series will be co-sanctioning the Pepsi-Mt. Dew Midget National in Knoxville IA, the weekend of June 4-5.

The midgets will then travel to New Egypt Speedway, NJ on Saturday June 12 for a Twin Twenty event. Then, its off to Grandview Speedway, Bechtelsville PA on Sunday June 27. The month of June concludes at Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey on Tuesday night June 29.

For the July 4 holiday, the midget drivers will converge on Latrobe Speedway in western Pennsylvania. Followed closely by a double header weekend that finds the midgets at Penn Can, in upstate Pennsylvania on Friday July 9, and Thunder Mountain Speedway in New York on Saturday July 10.

With only one weekend off in July, the midgets retreat back to western Pennsylvania for the Twin Twenties at Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday July 24. The Ray's Yamaha 'Polaris" Victory American Racing Drivers Club Midget Series finishes the month of July at Five Mile Point Speedway in New York on Saturday July 31.

The month of August takes the ARDC competitors back to Trail-ways Speedway, Hanover PA on Saturday August 14. Brewerton Speedway and Fulton Speedway in New York will share a double header weekend that spans Friday August 20, and Saturday August 21.

The last weekend in August is very busy for midget competitors. Friday night August 27, the drivers will return to Linda's Speedway. ARDC drivers will also be represented in the asphalt race at Nazareth Speedway. Qualifying takes place on Friday, while the main event is scheduled for Saturday August 28.

The Ray's Yamaha 'Polaris" Victory American Racing Drivers Club concludes their season with a trip to Little Valley Speedway. The Twin Twenties will be completed on Saturday September 11.
