" Luc Alphand and Valeo partners for the victory "

After a thrilling Spa 1000 kilometres event, held over the weekend of April 12-14, where the Luc Alphand Aventures Team came sixth, all our attention is now focused on the next 24h of Le Mans and how Luc will manage this race. Our hopes are strengthened by the fact that the Luc Alphand Aventures team was leading the GT1 category for more than four hours during the last Spa event.

On May 13-14 took place the Spa 1000 kilometers on the circuit of Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, second test of "Le Mans Series", in which the team Luc Alphand Aventures competed in GT1.

This 2006 edition was marked by the impressive collision at the beginning of the race between several cars, which blocked this one during more than one hour. Thereafter the team Luc Alphand Aventures led the race for more than four hours until the C5R Corvette was struck by the Ferrari of the private team Convers Menx, one hour before the race end. This accident obliged Jerome Policand to return to the stand and finish at the 6th place.

In spite of that, this race reveals the car and team potential. Indeed, without this collision with the Ferrari, the Corvette C5R had all the possibilities to win this second Le Mans Series event. These results show great signs of success for the Luc Alphand Aventures team to win the next 24h of Mans. After 5 years on Ferrari and Porsche, Luc Alphand, victorious on Dakar 2006, decided to take part in this new edition of the Sarthe circuit on corvette C5R, sponsored by Valeo. The association of a powerful car, which starts to prove reliable, and qualified pilots, ensures a race full with bounces.
