Successful qualifying for Kolles at Le Mans

At its second participation in the 78th edition of the 24 hours of Le Mans, Kolles is starting from positions 12 and 13. Christophe Bouchut, Scott Tucker and Manuel Rodrigues are 12th in car number 14 while Christijan Albers, Christian Bakkerud and Oliver Jarvis are starting one position behind the sister car (13th, #15).

It was a good first qualifying on a dry track on Wednesday night. French Christophe Bouchut (#14) set the fastest lap with a time of 3:30.907 while the Dutch Christijan Albers was the quickest in his car number 15 (3:31.661). The second qualifying on Thursday evening started with wet conditions but the track got dry again during the session. Therefore, no lap time improvements were possible compared to the previous day. In the final and third qualifying, both Kolles cars couldn't do a better lap time and so, the fastest laps in qualifying were done in the first session.

In all of the three qualifying sessions, Kolles could fulfill the program with both cars and is looking forward to an exciting race at the Sarthe.

Dr Colin Kolles: "I am happy with the result in qualifying and we could work on the race setup. The drivers and every member of our crew did a great job. In the end, everything worked well and now we are looking forward to a successful race on Saturday and Sunday. Then, we want to do a good result like we had last year at our debut when we finished on 7th and 9th position."
