Miguel Pais do Amaral and the Quifel ASM Team with reinforced efforts in the 24 Hours of Le Mans

Stepping onto the podium on the 13th of June, at the end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in the LMP2 class, is an ambition which has clearly been assumed by the Portuguese driver Miguel Pais do Amaral and all of the members of the Quifel ASM Team. The optimism demonstrated by the Portuguese team is not only based on the excellent victory accomplished in the recent SPA Francorchamps 1,000km, the second race in the Le Mans Series 2010 Championship, but also on the spectacular performance of the Zytek 09S in private test runs carried out afterwards on the new Spanish Motorland track where the excellence of the new aerodynamic solutions developed with Zytek and by the Portuguese engineers on the Quifel ASM Team was confirmed.

"The 24 Hours of Le Mans is a challenge which is both mythical and attractive and also unpredictable due to the strain put on and demanded from the mechanics and drivers", explains Miguel Pais do Amaral, confident that "it will be possible to finish among the first if luck doesn't abandon the team this year".

For Miguel Pais do Amaral, who shares the wheel of the Zytek 09S with the usual Olivier Pla and the English driver Warren Hughes in the "24 Hours", "the very positive evolution of the car's performance in areas which are critical to the Le Mans route, as is the case with the top speed, opens very good perspectives for a much desired result".
